Custom ramp sink with slot drain made from durable GFRC concrete.

The ASU Solar Decathlon Sink

Tempe

2013

The ASU Solar Decathlon Sink was created for the 2013 Solar Decathlon House, an ambitious student project focused on innovation and sustainability. Donated by Gore Design Co., this piece reflected our commitment to supporting forward-thinking architecture and design.

Part of our Hard Goods Collection, the sink is a clean ramp basin with a slot drain - crafted in GFRC concrete and paired with a thick plate steel base finished by hand with wax. Built in the USA, it’s a design that merges modern durability with timeless simplicity, proving that even in experimental projects, the details matter.

The Hard Goods Collection is our line of standard concrete sinks and concrete-and-steel furniture, crafted by hand since 2012. What began as a way to strip design back to the essentials has grown into an award-winning collection recognized for its honesty, durability, and modern character. Every piece is built to last, built to be used, and built to tell a story that outlives us.
