The Green Glass Sink

The Green Glass Sink is a vintage design that showcases early experimentation with terrazzo. Created for a Frank Lloyd Wright house, the client requested that recycled green glass be incorporated into the concrete, creating a terrazzo-style surface that blended history, materiality, and modern design.
At the time, concrete mixes were more limited, but the spirit of innovation was already present. Today, we’ve advanced to crystalline silica-free UHPC concrete paired with completely non-toxic, solvent-free, isocyanate-free sealers. This evolution delivers a smoother, denser, healthier, and longer-lasting finish - taking the terrazzo concept to new levels of performance and safety.
The Green Glass Sink remains an important marker of our journey, showing how recycled materials and terrazzo details can transform a sink into something personal, sustainable, and timeless.
