The Hand Sink
Phoenix
2007
The Hand Sink was born from a simple but powerful idea - connect design to identity. Fabric-formed to look as though a hand had pressed into soft material, the sink carries gentle curves and pillowed contours that feel organic and human. At its center, water drains naturally into a standard grid fitting, bringing function into harmony with form.
Created for an architecture firm whose logo was a handprint, the sink became a seamless extension of their brand and a daily reminder of the meaning behind their work. Crafted in UHPC concrete and finished with a solvent-free, healthy sealer, the Hand Sink demonstrates that design innovation and safe materials go hand in hand.
The Hand Sink is proof of the versatility of fabric forming - a technique we pioneered nearly two decades ago and have since taught to thousands of artisans worldwide.
