Modern Muskoka Chair and Custom Concrete Side Table
Some projects feel like a reunion with an old friend. This commission came from a longtime client in Springfield, Illinois, who has trusted us with several pieces over the years. For their Modern A-Frame Lake House, they wanted the comfort and legacy of our award-winning Modern Muskoka Chair, paired with a custom side table that shared the same steel-base typology and clean modern lines.
We cast the Muskoka Chair in our Clay color concrete, a warm grey that fits naturally in both modern and rustic spaces. The base was powder-coated a custom matte orange, a bold choice that plays beautifully against the lake house backdrop. The companion side table was designed as a one-off piece specifically for this project, crafted to echo the geometry of the chair while offering practical functionality. The tabletop carries inlaid turquoise I collected during my years in Arizona, adding a quiet personal story to an already special commission.
