Mother of Gideon Concrete and Steel Jewelry Display Case

The Mother of Gideon Jewelry Display Case was as much about friendship as it was about design. Mother of Gideon are longtime friends of ours - they’re the artisans who crafted our Frank Lloyd Wright–inspired wedding bands. When they asked for a custom piece to showcase their gold and diamond work, we knew it had to be something that carried the same raw, authentic character that defines their brand.

This case was built to travel - small enough for trade shows, tough enough for daily use, and sharp enough to reflect the value of what it held. The base was crafted from board-formed concrete, with hand-sawn kerfs that created a geometric design and gave the piece a rugged texture. The steel and glass top was welded from thick plate steel, lockable for security, and finished with a wax coating designed to patina and tell its own story over time.
