The Original Erosion Sink
Phoenix
2005
The Original Erosion Sink is where our story of innovation began. First crafted in 2005 and later published in Dwell magazine (February 2007), it quickly became the signature design of Gore Design Co. Installed in a Ralph Haver mid-century modern home in Phoenix, the sink translated the natural process of erosion into a sculptural, functional form.
This project stands as a milestone because it launched the erosion sink concept - an idea that has since become one of the most recognizable designs in modern concrete sinks. Often imitated but never duplicated, the Original Erosion Sink continues to be our most requested piece nearly two decades later.
Handcrafted in the USA using GFRC concrete, it represents not just a sink, but the moment when concrete was reimagined as luxury design - functional, personal, and built to last for generations.
