The Palm Sink
Portland
2006
The Palm Sink is a vintage design that helped shape our craft in the mid-2000s. First created in 2006, it featured a slot drain that ran off both ends of the basin, creating the illusion that the sink was split in two. Looking closer, the detail was even more surprising - the drain itself was cast in a green concrete color, adding a playful contrast to the clean geometry of the white concrete basin.
This project stands as a marker of our early years, when experimentation drove bold new ideas in form and detail. Since its creation, the Palm Sink has inspired several iterations, proving that strong design continues to evolve. Today, our sinks are made with crystalline silica-free UHPC and finished with our completely non-toxic, solvent-free, isocyanate-free sealers - far healthier and more functional than the polymer-modified concretes most artisans still use.
The Palm Sink remains a reminder that innovation isn’t just about solving problems - it’s about seeing possibilities.
