Simple Concrete Countertops
Scottsdale
2005
The Simple Concrete Countertops remind us that sometimes less really is more. Crafted in 2005 for an architect’s home in Scottsdale, Arizona, this project wasn’t about elaborate inlays or dramatic finishes. Instead, it celebrated clean lines, varied elevations, and thoughtful cabinet design - proof that simplicity can stand the test of time.
Even nearly two decades later, these countertops still carry the same quiet elegance. Concrete’s strength lies not just in what can be added - like waterfall edges, integral planters, or inlays - but also in what can be left pure. A handcrafted concrete surface can bring balance, restraint, and timelessness to a space in ways other materials can’t.
Made in our Wichita, Kansas studio, sealed with our healthy, food-safe finishes, these countertops are a lasting reminder that concrete is just as much about subtlety as it is about bold design statements.
